This painting was painted in 1993 when my former wife made first contact with somebody who lives in New Zealand. She called me all excited to tell me about her phone conversation with Yugoslav couple who just moved to New Zealand. As I was talking with her I was sitting by the easel and I made this painting as my impression of New Zealand. The island in the distance looks like Somes Island  in Wellington Harbour and stars above like southern cross. It  is one of number of paintings which I brought with me to New Zealand.

Oil on canvas, 1993, 37 X 47 cm, unstretched. Price includes shipping within New Zealand.
