Ariadne

This small yet evocative piece patiently waited over six months before finding its final form. Recently, inspired by the right mood, I completed it by adding delicate highlights that bring it to life.
I titled it Ariadne, drawing on the mythological figure whose name means “most holy.” In Greek mythology, Ariadne is known for helping Theseus navigate and escape the treacherous Labyrinth. In the painting, a subtle figure of a woman emerges from the shadows, embodying both mystery and guidance, much like Ariadne herself — a quiet, powerful presence just beyond the darkness.
